"The 2015 Pinot Noir Muschelkalk Landwein Oberrhein (from vines planted in 1953 on shell limestone soils) offers an open and very pure Pinot aroma of floral flavors and dark berry in perfect ripeness. The sample is still raw and pristine and has CO2, but it indicates a pure, elegant, silky textured, intense and well-concentrated Pinot with a stimulating kick in the finish. This characterful wine reveals perfect ripeness, is fleshy and has great grip and tension. The finish is intense, fresh and long, although still a bit reduced. The wine seems to be a bit more complex than the corresponding Bundsandstein. Total production: three barriques."
