|Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate|
According to Andreas Durst, the 2013 Portugieser Pfälzer Landwein P (Los Nr 9/15; officially not vintaged) is sourced from 100+-year-old vines. It opens very pure, fine and with beautifully precise, delicate wild berry and cherry aromas on the nose. On the palate, this has a refreshing, very firm, almost astringent yet intense and concentrated character that is fascinatingly filigreed, finessed and persistent. This wine does not have much alcohol (12%) but has a rich and impressive character. The acidity is very good here, too, but the wine should be opened a day before consumption to integrate the firm tannins."
