“Blanc de Noirs,” or Pinot Noir vinified as a white wine, is pretty common in Germany; it is their “Chardonnay” – a white wine with more texture and a lower acid – though of course Hammelmann shapes a Blanc de Noir of extreme lightness and more zing – this has around 7.2 acid and is only 11% alcohol. The wine did go through malolactic, and was bottled unfiltered with only 10mg sulfur. The wine shows pretty soil tones along with fragrant red fruits, strawberries along with a citrus to left the edges. Ultra-easy-drinking.
