Lena SektBlanc de Noirs Extra Brut Sekt 2022 (750ml)

The Blanc de Noirs is mostly Pinot Noir with a bit of Schwarzriesling (aka Pinot Meunier). Sourced from sites in Ingelheim with fractioning used to focus on the cuvée. The end of the press, or taille, is not used. The BdN saw aging mostly in used tonneaux with a little bit of the Pinot seeing time in used barrique. None of the wines had any fining or filtering. Post tirage, the wine spent 24 months on the lees and has a dosage of 3 grams. The BdN showcases more spice and darker aromatics with notes of hazelnut and almond, richer pulses of citrus and quince. Superb.
