WasenhausChardonnay Hohlen 2023 (750ml)

This is a newer Chardonnay from Wasenhaus; first vintage 2022 I believe. This comes from the Zunzinger Rosenberg, a site you’ve never heard of about fifteen minutes south of Staufen. The vines are on limestone and clay soils and are twenty-five years old.

As is the recipe here, the bunches got pressed as whole cluster, fermented in used barrels from different size. Aged for one year on the full lees in barrel and another half year in stainless steel on its entire lees.
