This is the first-ever release of the wine, a 2019 Blanc de Blancs reserve held back on the lees for five years (60 months, or “Monaten” in German) before being recently disgorged. To some extent, this bottling, according to Lena, is a celebration of the extreme focus of this sparkling wine project – but it is also a celebration of the vintage. The 2019 vintage is just one of those years with a magic balance: perfect ripeness, an uncommon depth and clarity yet also with energy and lift.
