Vollenweider is quite simply, among the greatest practitioners of Kabinett on planet earth, part of a very small and elite group including Julian Haart, Egon Müller, Lauer, Weiser-Künstler and Willi Schaefer. Try and buy as much of this as you can.

In 2024 this site was battered with hail and frost—a very challenging vintage in certain vineyards of the Mosel. An incredibly racy Kabinett from 40-year-old vines that tastes dryer than expected, high drinkability and acidity of nearly 10 grams. Fresh cut grass and herby minty herbs, this is mouthwatering and incredibly refreshing.

The 2024er Trarbacher Burgberg Riesling Kabinett is a fruity-styled wine made from fruit picked early on 40-year-old vines. It offers a beautifully aromatic nose of gooseberry, cassis, pear, melon, whipped cream, and fine earthy spices. The wine is superbly well balanced on the palate and leaves a juicy and engaging feel of fruit in the long finish. The aftertaste makes one magically go for more.
