“der Traubenflüsterer” or the Grape Whisperer is Ulli’s ode to the endangered growers of steep slope Mosel Riesling. In 2010 Ulli published a manifesto warning of the threats to the region’s 2000-year-old viticultural tradition, and this wine is a step in preserving that tradition. In addition to young-vines at the estate, this wine comes from small growers who are working steep-slope Riesling vines in the area.
