From alluvial terroir in the flatlands across the river from the Ritsch in the Thörnicher Schiesslay. The most off-dry of the entry wines and in the words of Julian Ludes, the quintessential “breakfast wine” with 17.5g of RS and 7g of Acidity in 2024.

| Mosel Fine Wines | The 2024 Mosel, as it is simply referred to on the consumer label, was made from 25-30-year-old vines in the Thörnicher Schiesslay (from vineyards around the Estate) and was fermented in stainless-steel tank down to off-dry levels of residual sugar (21 g/l). It offers a nicely fresh, herbal, and minty nose of lime, freshly cut herbs, grapefruit zest, smoke, thyme, and blackberry. The wine proves light-bodied and gently fruity and juicy, with some playful acidity adding a touch of freshness. The finish is medium-long and nice. This is a good expression of direct and zesty expression, light off-dry Riesling. | No. 77, Sep. 2025 |
