The 2025er Trarbacher Schlossberg Riesling Kabinett was fermented half in an equal mix of Fuder and stainless-steel tank down to light fruity- styled levels of residual sugar. It delivers a beautifully undercooled and layered nose of citrusy fruits, orange peel, spices, smoke, minty herbs, and spearmint. The wine starts off on the nicely juicy and finely fruity side but quickly shows its fresh side as herbal and minty elements come through. The finish is very long, straight, and focused, and marked by playful and lively acidity. The aftertaste comes already over as off-dry instead of fruity- styled and proves incredibly mouth-watering. This is a wonderful, classic Kabinett.
