The 2025er Enkircher Steffensberg Riesling Auslese is a noble-sweet wine made from slightly botrytized fruit. It shows a very intense, ripe, and aromatic nose of toffee, a touch of raisin, marzipan, nut paste, quince, baked spices, orange jam, and apple jelly. The wine proves quite concentrated and structured on the palate, and leaves a smooth and juicy long finish, with plenty of caramelized ripe and exotic fruits. The sweetness is still at the forefront at this early stage, and this rich dessert wine will need more than a decade to fully blossom.
