The Thörnicher is the “village-level” bottling; it is sourced from choice parcels in the Thörnicher Ritsch and Enggass. In 2024 this is barely off dry. 11g of residual sugar and a zesty 9.5g of Acidity.

The 2024 Thörnicher, as it is referred to on the consumer label, was made from 70-85-year-old vines from the best plots in the Ritsch and was fermented in stainless-steel tank down to just off-dry levels of residual sugar (11 g/l). It offers a nicely floral and herbal nose of citrusy fruits, smoke, spearmint, aniseed, thyme, green apple, greengage, fennel, and almond. The wine is light-weighted and quite zesty on the taut and dry-tasting palate. The finish is animating and nicely long, with quite some spices and fresh elements. This is impressive, in an animating style.
