| Mosel Fine Wines | The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc (the reference to the name is, as usual for this Estate, only provided on the back label) with lot number L: 24SB is a bone-dry wine made from fruit purchased grapes from a befriended grower in Rheinhessen. It was fermented and aged on its gross and fine lees in oak for 11 months and stainless steel for 6 months without any intervention before being bottled unfiltered and with minimal SO2 added. This hey- yellow-colored wine offers a complex nose of subtle exotic fruits driven by mango, pineapple, and papaya, wrapped in chalky minerals, citrusy elements, and a touch of funk. The wine is beautifully engaging and precise on the refreshingly tart palate and leaves a great feel of minerals and subtly exotic fruits in the focused and zesty finish. This is a very nice expression Sauvignon Blanc with just a touch of “natural” to add complexity. | No. 81 July 2026 |
